Awards Voting Procedures
The Australian Council for Student Voice is pleased to invite members to participate in the voting process for our 2025 Awards.
Voting provides members with the opportunity to recognise and celebrate outstanding initiatives in student voice and partnership across Australia.
Voting will open on Tuesday, 29 April 2025 and will close at 11:59pm on Tuesday, 13 May 2025.
Votes must be submitted through the Member Hub, and members will be required to enter their Member Number to verify eligibility. This process ensures one vote per member and maintains the integrity of the awards.
Each member is eligible to submit one vote in each of the following categories:
Student Voice Impact Award
Partnership for Change Award
Members will be asked to carefully review the nomination materials provided before casting their votes.
Voting should be based on the demonstrated strength, authenticity, and impact of the program or initiative, rather than on the size, resources, or profile of the school or organisation.
Following the close of voting:
The top three nominees in the Student Voice Impact Award category will be recognised at the Awards Ceremony.
The top two nominees in the Partnership for Change Award category will be recognised at the Awards Ceremony.
The top nominee in each category will receive the Award, including the associated Trophy and Certificate. The second and third nominees in the Student Voice Impact Award, and the second nominee in the Partnership for Change Award will be acknowledged as runners up.
Members who have a close affiliation with a nominee, such as being a current student, staff member, project partner, or close relative, are asked to refrain from voting in that particular category.
ACSV trusts that all members will exercise discretion and uphold the fairness and integrity of the awards process.
In the event of a tie, a preferential voting process will be used to determine the winner. This means that if no nominee achieves a clear majority, the votes for the lowest-ranked nominee will be redistributed according to the second preferences indicated by members. This process will continue until a clear winner is determined. If a tie persists after preferential voting, the matter will be referred to the ACSV Board for a final decision.
In the event of a discrepancy, error, or other exceptional circumstance affecting the awards process or voting outcome, the matter will be referred to the Board of Directors for final determination. The Board’s decision will be final, and no further correspondence or discussion will be entered into regarding the matter.
The ACSV thanks all members for participating in this important process to highlight and celebrate leadership, collaboration, and innovation through student voice and partnerships.
